Drunk Utah Man Books Uber Ride so Injured Baby Bird Could Reach Wildlife Rescue on Time

A drunk Utah man booked an Uber ride for an injured bird he spotted in the neighbour's porch. The rescue centre was surprised to receive a baby bird in a car. The story went viral after the rehabilitation centre posted pictures of the bird on Facebook.

Last week, a bird was driven to the gates of Wildlife Rehabilitation Center of Northern Utah by an Uber driver. Tim Crowley from Utah was drinking with his friends when they saw an injured baby bird on a neighbour's porch. Tim and friends took a picture of the bird and sent it to the Wildlife Rehabilitation Center of Northern Utah. A representative from the They got a reply from the rehabilitation centre telling them to bring the bird in. After getting drunk, Tim couldn't drive and take the bird to the animal, instead he booked an Uber and transported the bird. The story became viral after Wildlife Rehabilitation Center of Northern Utah took to Facebook saying narrating how an injured bird was sent to the rescue in an Uber. The rescued bird will mostly be released by the end of this summer. The baby bird was identified as a lesser goldfinch than two weeks old. Christy told KSTU, "The only noise was the chirping. I guess he was happy when I turned off the air conditioning off and rolled the windows down a little bit. I definitely think it was a little too cold for him." As the story went viral on social media, internet users complimented the 'sober' mind of the friends who saved a baby bird. The comments section of the post is filled with praises to Tim's presence of mind that saved a bird.
