Kiki hitmaker Drake gave Sofia Sanchez, a 11-year-old the surprise of her life on Monday. Sanchez who is awaiting a heart transplant at a Lurie's Children Hospital of Chicago had her dreams come true when she saw the rapper. Drake also posted a photo of him posing with Sofia at the hospital with the caption: 'Me and my love Sofia talking about Bieber and Owls and Basketball'. One of the videos doing rounds on social media also shows Sofia's surprise reaction on seeing Drake.
The clip shows Sofia screaming 'Oh my God!' on seeing Drake walking into her room. In response to her reaction, Drake says, "You asked me to come, I'm here. What's up?" Sofia's jaw drops as she still cannot believe her eyes. She quickly goes to give Drake a bear hug while he says, "I'm so happy I got to see you." Sofia then tells him, "I love your music and I was hoping that you could come and cheer me up for my birthday or anytime this week." Drake posed for pictures with the girl and also gifted her with some of his merchandise and even sang his song 'God's Plan' to her. He also signed an autograph for her and asked for hers too.
Sophia who celebrated her birthday on Sunday said that she had two wishes: to receive a new heart and to meet Drake. Drake who played at the United Center in Chicago on Saturday, visited Sofia after seeing the video of her doing the Kiki Challenge at the hospital while hooked to her IV. After meeting Drake she said that she had received her best birthday present.

Sofia was diagnosed with cardiomyopathy, a heart muscle condition recently, which makes it difficult for her heart to pump blood to the body. In some situation, a heart transplant is advised and Sofia is currently on the waiting list. Three weeks ago Sofia underwent open heart surgery to connect a mechanical pump to support her heart and blood flow. The hospital performs this surgery four times a year that helps in heart transplantation. Her family members have started a GoFundMe page to lessen the financial burden on them. In just six weeks, the crowd-sourcing page has raised more than USD 43,900.
