A loyal dog fended off angry motorists and policemen to protect its drunk owner who was sleeping off a hangover in the middle of the street. The video filmed in an area in Colombia was recorded by onlookers and shared on social media where it garnered more than 6,50,000 views in just over 24 hours. The video is going viral and has been shared 15,000 times and received hundreds of comments.

In the video, the adorable and loyal dog is trying to protect its owner by lying on top of him and licking his face and snaps at anyone who tries to shake the sleeping owner to wake him up. When a policeman approaches to deal with the disturbance, the protective pooch does not allow him anywhere near its drunk owner.

A resident informs the policeman that the ‘guy is drunk. The dog nips at the policeman’s hand when he tries to gently shake the dozing drunk man. Eventually the owner begins to move, and someone removes the bike helmet he was sleeping in while the dog was distracted with the cop. The owner wearily lifts his head and gives his adorable dog a loving pat before getting a ticking off from the cop.
