If you have seen #DobbyTheHouseElf from Harry Potter trending on Twitter, it is because of a creepy video doing rounds on the social media that has left internet with boggled minds. A video captured by surveillance cameras in a parking lot or driveway kind of place shows a Dobby-like creature and people cannot stop wondering if it is for real! People are confused if Dobby- the house elf from Harry Potter has come to life or it is some alien taking a casual stroll on earth. The creature very vividly resembles of Dobby the house elf, a mythical creature from Harry Potter that is widely loved by potter heads. In the now viral video footage shared by @jadynbee_ on Twitter, the creature with thin legs and elf ears dangling down can be seen walking carefree in the driveway. The resemblance is so striking that it is almost difficult to not believe it is Dobby. She shared it with the caption: "a lady posted this and said she saw this on her home camera this morning. what y’all think this is ?" and Twitter is horrified ever since.

The video was originally shared by Vivian Gomez with a caption: "So I woke up Sunday morning and saw this on my camera and am trying to figure out...what the heck?? First I saw the shadow walking from my front door then I saw this thing....has anyone else seen this on their cameras?? The other two cameras didn’t pick it up for some reason."

Dobby, a male house-elf served the Malfoy family and his masters the Dark Wizards treated him cruelly. However, later Dobby turned into Dobby the free elf after Harry Potter tricked Lucius Malfoy into freeing Dobby. Dobby initially disobeyed his masters while trying to warn Harry Potter of the plot to have the Chamber of Secrets reopened. Later, Dobby helped Harry spy on Draco Malfoy also went on Aberforth Dumbledore's orders to save the lives of Harry and his companions from Death Eaters at Malfoy Manor. However, during this rescue, he was fatally wounded by Bellatrix Lestrange's knife. This scene has been etched in every Harry Potter lover's heart as it is an emotional moment when Dobby dies. Harry dug Dobby's grave in the gardens of Shell Cottage and carved into the headstone of the grave "HERE LIES DOBBY, A FREE ELF."
