A video surfaced on social media where a food service employee is seen spitting on a customer’s pizza has gone viral. The incident occurred during a Major League Baseball game between the Kansas City Royals and Detroit Tigers at Detroit’s Comerica Park. The employee in the video has been identified as Jaylon Kerley who is seen spitting a giant string of saliva on the dough base. The video was captured by an employee identified as Quinell May Jr. who shared the video on Facebook and Instagram. Kerley has been fired from his job and arrested. His colleague May was also fired from the job. Officials with Detroit Sport service said in a statement that they closed a food stand at Detroit’s Comerica Park after the video was shared online, as reported by WXYZ. “We immediately closed that food stand and disposed off all the product. Food safety is our top priority and we will take any appropriate action necessary to protect our guests.”

Writing on his Instagram account, May said: “I was sent home early today because I didn’t have on my Comerica Park shirt and they say I was at the bathroom for too long. So, they yelled at me and told me to go home. But since they made me go home early I couldn’t wait until after the game to tell them an employee was spitting customer pizzas.” He further wrote: “The customers don’t deserve this! This is disgusting! And the company to threaten me and let me go for exposing this video to the fans is also disgusting!!” Local news station WXYZ showed the clip to people visiting Comerica Park.
