Argentine legend Diego Maradona was spotted smoking a cigar from the stands during a match between Iceland and Argentia on Saturday. The former World Cup winner was seen smoking despite signs around the ground to not light-up in the ground. Photos and videos of the former footballer soon went viral on social media kickstarting debates on smoking in public places. Pictures show him in a black outfit with red sunglasses blowing kisses to fans.

Maradona sported his typical style of wearing two watches on both the wrists of his hands. It is said that he does so to know the time of his native Argentina in one and the time place he is travelling to, in other. He is recognised as one of the all-time greats who famously knocked out England in the 1986 World Cup with the 'Hand of God' goal.

The 57-year-old did not make it to the summer tournament earlier this month as he was admitted in a hospital due to a knee problem. However, he made it to Russia and is serving as a World Cup pundit. Recently, Maradona signed a three-year contract to join top-flight Belarusian club Dinamo Brest as chairman. Last month, he stepped down as coach of the United Arab Emirates second division club Al-Fujairah. In the ongoing World Cup that has gripped football fans around the world, yesterday's match saw a draw between Spain and Portugal.
