The hit song Despacito that went viral last year raking up five billion views on YouTube, has been hacked. Luis Fonsi and Daddy Yankee's record-breaking song had made pop lovers across the globe grove to the catchy music. However, the song has now been deleted by a group of hackers making it disappear from the site. It is not just the makers of Despacito who have been affected, hackers also caused damage to works by popular artists including Shakira, Selena Gomez, Drake and Taylor Swift. The original clips had been posted by Vevo.
After removing the Despacito video, hackers replaced it with a cover image of a group wearing masks and pointing guns. The name of the video now reads, "Hacked by Prosox &Kuroi'SH & Shade & Akashi IT & KiraRoot &Xepher &SenpaiWeb & Misao." They also wrote 'Free Palestine' below the videos.

Despacito which was released in January 2017 had went on to become the most-streamed song in the world. The song has also topped charts in 35 countries around the world. A remix version of the song featuring Justin Bieber’s vocals also gained momentum on social media and otherwise.
However, the Spanish-language song was in controversies also right from the start for its "sexually explicit" lyrics. Malaysia had banned the song on state radio and television after receiving complaints of the lyrics being "obscene". Justin Bieber had grabbed headlines after forgetting for forgetting the Spanish lyrics of the song during a live performance in collaboration with Luis Fonsi and Daddy Yankee.
