The viral video of an aunty from Delhi who passed extremely sexist comments on women who wear short clothes recently took the country by storm. The middle-aged woman named Soma Chakrabarty had "harassed" a few girls and also passed regressive comments on their attire. According to the victim, she asked seven men to rape women who wore short clothes and also said that rebel women or women wearing short clothes deserve to be raped. The incident needs no introduction because the video was on everyone's phone in no time. However, a Facebook post has been going viral since morning which seems to have been posted by Soma Chakrabarty herself. The post contains an unconditional apology note, which again seems to have been legally drafted in a way that it seems like it has been thoughtfully written. The apology post reads: "I extend an unconditional apology to all the girls. In hind sight, I realise, I was harsh and incorrect in my statement. If any, I should have offered my opinion in private. I was concerned, however, I realise that I should have been protective and progressive in my outlook and not conservative and regressive. As a wife, sister and a mother and more importantly as a woman, I value ever woman's dignity. Once again, I profusely apologise to all women who's sentiments have been hurt. Take a look at the Facebook post by Soma Chakrabarty:

Shivani Gupta, one of the victims had posted the video where she can be heard passing sexist comments. Her caption read: "Today my friends and I were harassed by a woman at a restaurant for me wearing a short dress. This middle-aged woman you’ll see in the video addressed seven men at the restaurant to rape us because she felt we deserved it for wearing short clothes and bashing her unsolicited opinion."

However, there isn't any confirmation yet that the Facebook account is authentic and belongs to the real Soma Chakrabarty. We are still waiting for some light on the authenticity of the apology. The video that went viral earlier had recorded Soma Chakrabarty says: "You're recording no? Hello guys. These ladies want to wear short to short dresses to encourage all to see them. All these ladies wear short dresses or get naked to [get] raped." She blatantly said that women shouldn't be wearing short clothes and that the ones who do invite rapists.
