Delhi Businessman Poses as Slum Dweller to get School Admission for Son, Gets Caught While Repeating it Again
A Delhi businessman by the name Gaurav Goel pretended to be a slum dweller and forged documents to get his son admitted in Sanskriti School in New Delhi's Chanakyapuri.

A Delhi businessman by the name Gaurav Goel pretended to be a slum dweller and forged documents to get his son admitted in Sanskriti School in New Delhi's Chanakyapuri. The incident has come to light when Goel tried to repeat the same for his second son. Goel showed himself a resident of slum area Sanjay Camp so that his son can benefit from the economically weaker section quota for his school admission.
Interestingly, Goel had put his annual income as Rs. 67,000 and made his false voter card and supporting documents as well says the Times of India report. His son secured admission in the desired school in the year 2013. Goel's plan was so well thought out that it worked for 5 years! He thought he would get second time lucky, when he imitated the same process for his second son to be admitted. While applying through the economically weaker sections quota, Goel requested the school authorities to transfer the older son in general category. He stated that the family's economic situation had improved in these years. But Goel mentioned the name of a plush society- Safdarjung Enclave, which raised the suspicion against him. They then lodged a complaint with the police.
On investigating the matter, the police found that Gaurav Goel owns a MRI centre. Not only that, Goel has travelled to over 20 countries. His IT records pulled out a hefty income that he is making from his businesses. Although Goel is now arrested from his residence, further investigations are on. Police suspect some government officials must have helped him for such a smooth forging of the documents. The child is now expelled from the school. In a real sense, Hindi Medium has been played out by Mr. Goel.
