A Michigan engineering company, MMI Engineered Solutions has fired an employee for bringing laxative-laced brownies for a co-worker's farewell. The 47-year-old woman allegedly baked brownies laded with laxatives for her colleague's send-off. Fortunately, nobody ate the treats after another employee tipped off management. According to reports, the woman previously had a spat with the parting colleague. The specifics of their differences or the name of the accused woman has not been released.
Managers at the engineering firm where she worked confiscated the brownies. While the woman initially denied adding laxatives in the brownies, she accepted to it after learning that investigators would test them. The US state of Michigan officers said had someone consumed the chocolate treats the matter would have been different. The incident happened on May 3 after which the brownies were confiscated.
Saline Police Chief Jerrod Hart told the newspaper, "A lot of times you see it in movies or TV shows where someone tries to do this or play a joke, but it's very serious. There's just so much going on in the world, to create a problem like this is unnecessary and it's criminal."
