A Californian woman created the iconic fairy tale by giving her a prosthetic glass arm to inspire amputees across the world. The viral pictures shared on Facebook has impressed the netizens to the core. They love it, and so are we! Just like all of us, Mandy Pursley too grew up reading fairy tales, but she could not relate to them. The characters, strong and bold enough, did not resemble her. Pursley, a cosplayer came up with the idea when she saw her daughter reading Cinderella stories last year. “I realized that even though there were so many beautiful tales from around the world, there were still no princesses who looked like ME! When I was growing up with a physical difference, I never saw girls like myself represented in the media, so it took me a long time to realize that what makes us different can also be the thing that makes us strong, beautiful, and unapologetically unique,” Pursley wrote on her Facebook.

So what you do, if you cannot find a princess that tells your story? Well, in this case, she made her own. “I spent countless hours sewing Cinderella's ballgown and her Prince's uniform. And my fairy godfather Gilbert Lozano brought everything together with the most amazing glass arm (glass slippers are SO last year!)” she added.
