Recently, CBSE, ICSE, ISC 2019 Board Exam Results were declared by CISCE and soon after that, the same old debate of judging children's worthiness by their grades has resurfaced. However, amidst all this, a mom named Vandana Sufia Katoch is going viral on social media for her views on her son's 10th board exam results and it is all kinds of positivity you can think of. Her inspiring post about how it is okay to not score a 90 in the board exams is winning hearts. The post comes in around mother's day and makes a point of how every mom should tackle their kids' bad results. In fact, she has been receiving praises all over her comments section with people asking Indian parents to take inspiration from her and not judge their kids on the basis of exam results. Her viral post read: "Super proud of my boy who scored a 60% in Class 10 board exams. Yes, it is not a 90, but that doesn't change how I feel. Simply because I have seen him struggle with certain subjects almost to the point of giving up, and then deciding to give his all in the last month-and-a-half to finally make it through! Here's to you, Aamer. And others like you - fishes asked to climb trees. Chart your own course in the big, wide ocean, my love. And keep your innate goodness, curiosity and wisdom alive. And of course, your wicked sense of humour!" RBSE Board Exam 2019: Rajasthan Class 12 Student Commits Suicide After Missing 5 Questions in Physics Paper.
Take a look at mom's viral post:
She is not just proud of what her son has achieved but also acknowledges that he put in quite a lot of efforts to achieve what he has. With suicide rates soaring high because of bad exam results and pressure from this post is a sigh of relief. Over forty-two intermediate students have committed suicide in the past five years (from 2015 to 2019) in Telangana itself, you can only imagine the numbers further. The suicide toll on grounds of failure in exams is the highest in 2019, and it alarming.
