If preparation for an entire year followed by a month of writing examinations was not enough, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has ordered re-test over the paper leak. The news of CBSE Class 10th and 12th students re-appearing for Maths exam and Economics exam has sent shockwaves among candidates, teachers and families. The official announcement of re-examinations by CBSE was a highly disappointing moment for the students who finished writing papers and were looking forward to the much-deserved break. While the board is yet to announce the new dates for Class 10th Maths paper and Class 12th Economics paper, the angry students, parents and other netizens are taking to Twitter to express their discontentment. And as is the norm of microblogging platform, biggest of issues are explained via funniest of jokes and memes and they’re so on point!

“The Board has taken cognizance of certain happenings in the conduct of certain examinations as are being reported. With the view to upholding the sanctity of the Board examinations and in the interest of the fairness to the students, the Board has decided to re-conduct the examinations in the subjects,” said the CBSE board on making an announcement about students having to sit for re-exams. Without divulging further details on the alleged paper leak or source, CBSE simply stated to notify the new exam dates on its official website within a week.

Imagine the horror of hundreds and thousands of students who despite not being at fault are forced to pay the price. Union minister Prakash Javadekar was quoted saying that "2-3 papers had been leaked on WhatsApp 30 minutes before the exams". He assured the outraged students and their families saying the culprits will be caught by further adding "I also could not sleep at night. I am also a parent." But no amount of assurances is calming down the outraged students and their families who are making their voices heard on various media platforms. Meanwhile, netizens are all guns blazing at CBSE and their officials for the ill-preparedness and inefficiency.
