We have all made major bloopers on social media, but Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) provisional Facebook page of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, have raised it to another level. The government on June 14, conducted a Press conference, in which they were discussing about serious decisions taken recently. But it turned into a social media mockery, after the Facebook live video, had cat filter on. Online jokes began to pour in, soon the video went viral. After the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s embarrassing moment were headlined, Imran Khan’s Party, PTI, issued a clarification on its Twitter handle, stating the incident happened as a “human error,” and will be careful in the future. As the press conference began, a Pakistan’s politician, Shaukat Yousafzai, was talking about decisions made in the provincial cabinet in Peshawar. But as the cat filter was on, Facebook users who have joined the live video, began to comment the page admin to disable the filter.

After the incident went viral, Pakistan’s Prime Minister Imran Khan’s party, PTI released a statement of Twitter. It concluded the incident happened as a “human error,” by one of its hard-working volunteers. “Necessary actions have been taken to avoid such incident in future with a great emphasis on strict enforcement of SOP and protocol for live coverage by the ground teams,” added the statement.

The recent cat filter incident, came after Imran Khan had goofed up during the SCO meet in Bishkek, when he sat down during the opening ceremony, while all the other world leaders and representatives were required to stand as per protocol, to welcome the host of the state. Khan stood up briefly, when his name was called but, proceeded to sit down, while others remained standing.
