The man-human conflict is growing day by day and what's sad is the way humanity just goes for a toss in some cases. In a recently shared video from Jammu and Kashmir's Kargil area, a Himalayan brown bear fell into a river after local people pelted it with stones! It is not yet clear whether the bear lost its live but authorities are prompted to launch a search operation for the same. Two shocking video clips were shared on social media, one of which shows the bear stuck in a barbwire struggling to get out. In the other video, the bear is seen crawling on a hilltop where it is being pelted with stones. The bear lost its balance and fell into the river under. Former director Tourism Kashmir, Mehmood Shah shared these videos on his Twitter account and both of them went viral. According to local reports, the brown bear is commonly seen in the Dras area of Kargil in Jammu and Kashmir. A group of local bear chased the animal and pelted it with stones. The video is indeed saddening and reflects badly on humanity. It instantly went viral and people were shocked at the incident. The video even brought CM Mehbooba Mufti's attention, who also shared the clip calling it inhuman. Meanwhile, Regional wildlife warden Leh, Sajad Sultan was quoted to Greater Kashmir, "It is an unfortunate incident where people could get involved into this kind of act, the department has launched a rescue operation to trace the drowned bear." Separate teams from the wildlife department have also been formed to trace the endangered species. Deputy Commissioner, Kargil, Baseer-ul-Haq Choudhary informed that an FIR has also been registered and they were trying to identify those who threw the stones at the animal.
