During the first phase of polling, a bridegroom was seen casting his vote at a polling station in Lucknow's Bijnor ahead of his wedding ceremony. A newly married couple directly went to Udhampur polling station in Jammu and Kashmir to cast their vote during the second phase of voting. Today, a 102-year-old named Shyam Saran Negi from Himachal Pradesh's Kalpa casts vote. He had cast the first vote in the 1951 general elections.

Voting for Lok Sabha elections 2019 for all the 543 seats was held in seven phases from April 11 to May 19, 2019. Polling is currently underway in eight states for 59 seats. The counting of votes for Lok Sabha Elections 2019 will take place on May 23. The General Election results would be declared on the same day.
