According to news agency ANI, locals from flooded village Ashara took a pregnant woman and her mother on a makeshift boat made of tyre tube and wooden planks to Primary Health Centre in Keoti, Darbhanga on Tuesday. Due to the heavy rainfall and flood, the road connecting the two cities was submerged in the water.

Apart from floods, Darbhanga is one of the most vulnerable districts to novel coronavirus. Meanwhile, nearly four lakh people have been affected by floods in Bihar till Monday. The number of affected are increasing day by day due to rising water levels.
