Imagine a scene with pure white snow all around, icy weather in the background, and a train running through a snowy railway track – who wouldn’t savour such a sight? Railway Minister Piyush Goyal, today, posted a beautiful video on Twitter, showcasing the elegant beauty of the Kashmir Valley. The love for the beauty of the region never gets old. Add to it, the periodic snowfall and an enchanting rail journey through snow would be on anybody’s bucket list. The following video posted by the railway minister does make us realise that Kashmir is, indeed, a heaven on earth!

Piyush Goyal’s tweet described ‘Banihal-Srinagar-Baramulla’ section in Kashmir valley. The video was about the part of Udhampur-Srinagar-Baramulla Rail Link (USBRL) National Project. His tweet read, “Passing through various tunnels & bridges over the Himalayas, the Banihal-Srinagar-Baramulla train cuts through high altitude mountain terrains. Take a glimpse of the train ploughing through snow in Kashmir Valley.” Take a look at the beautiful video:

Piyush Goyal posted a tweet on his official Twitter account; with it, he hit two targets with an arrow. Indian railway is one of the largest rail networks in the world. The way it has been expanding its length and breadth across the country is commendable. A lot of new projects and initiatives have been undertaken by Indian Railways under the leadership of Piyush Goyal. With this promotional tactic by the government, will it be successful in promoting Tourism in the region? It is for time to tell. However, to watch a train pass through snow, with ice-clad mountains in the background is a wonderful sight!
