In the hustle and bustle of life, there are some people for whom helping or saving someone’s life comes way above their own comfort. Such people are genuinely making the world a better place to live in. Be it any stranger or their own pet or in fact a fly for that matter; they do not give any second thought. Betsy Boyd, a creative writing professor at the University of Baltimore, Maryland and mother of two spent nearly $19,000 (Rs. 12.34 lakh). Yes, she admitted that the money was well worth for to save her cat Stanley’s life. She was very upset the moment the vet told her that Stanley would need a lifesaving kidney transplant. Knowing that she could not live without him, Boyd managed the required amount and signed off on the kitty kidney transplant.

Stanley’s operation occurred in November last year and he all fit, acting like his old self in Baltimore. Boyd said she and her husband are prepared to pay hundreds of dollars on blood work and medicine as and when require making sure Stanley’s body does not reject the new kidney. Now if you are wondering what more or how far anyone can go to save a life, here are few more cases that you should know. Examples Where Humans Shown Kindness Toward Animals
