A shocking video has emerged from Australia which shows a baby turtle pooping plastic. The turtle had swallowed the plastic in the ocean and the incident comes as a stern reminder to all us humans, to reduce plastic and also to dispose it off responsibly after usage. It was an endangered species of Loggerhead turtle which was taken to the vets after pieces of plastic were seen in its faeces. It was rescued by the Australian Parks and Wildlife Service a few weeks ago. It was then sent to the Perth zoo.

The video is a stern warning of how our usage of plastic and lack of proper disposal is affecting the environment. Despite warnings time and again, we humans still haven't learnt the ill-effects. The video is a shocking proof. It shows the pieces of plastic that were found in the poop, placed next to the sea turtle. "The poor turtle has been pooping out plastic ingested from the ocean!" the zoo wrote on their Twitter, along with the video. The zoo mentioned that the turtle is less than a year old. The sea wastage has been a major cause for endangering of marine life in the past few years. People on Twitter were also shocked and acknowledged the zoo's efforts.

Talking of turtles, there are just 6 species of marine turtles living in Australian waters. Out of these, 5 are mentioned in the International Union for the Conservation of Nature (IUCN) Red List of Threatened Species. Time and again we read about the imposed plastic ban but we also know how we fail at maintaining it. It is high time we strictly restrict the use of plastic wherever possible and encourage others to do it too.
