A newly-turned mother needs to be extremely careful about her child. But a mother of a one-month-old baby did not seem to care as she went to a nightclub with her baby in tow and it has ended up in the death of her baby. 26-year-old Marina Tilby did not just go to a nightclub, but after getting drunk, she fell asleep on her child which has resulted in its death. The incident took place last year in March and the mother has now been sentenced to two years and four months behind bars. Jordanian Man Kills Son by Pushing the 1-YO's Pram into Sea, Was Mad at Wife Who Made Him Babysit.

The baby, Darian was just about four weeks old when the mother chose to go clubbing, taking him along! Tilby was seen with her child at the nightclub in Mid Wales on the early hours of March 31, 2017. Far from being careful, she was in fact seen playing with the child by throwing him up in the air and catching him. After some time, she took him to a caravan with two men who she met in the club. She was along with her sister who tried to wake her up. Baby Darian was taken to Bronglais hospital, where he later died. It is said that the child suffered a heart attack.

While one of these men even offered a double bed to them, she refused and put the child next to her and slept next to him. On the next morning, the child was unresponsive. According to BBC, Judge Paul Thomas called this incident a "dreadful case of maternal selfishness". Thomas said, "It is a mother's responsibility, a mother's duty and her natural instinct to put the care and safety of her four-week-old child above all else. You completely ignored that duty so you could get extremely drunk on a night-out." Woman Dies After Jumping in Front of Local Train With Baby in Her Arms at Jogeshwari Station in Mumbai; Infant Survives.

Reports in Metro UK mention that the mother was not in a relationship with the baby's father at the time of the incident. She was diagnosed with depression after the death of her child.
