There are many reasons why it’s a Happy New Year 2019. It’s “happy” because the highly-awaited sequel of 2018’s Avengers: Infinity War, Avengers: Endgame film is scheduled for release on April 26, 2019. However, there is an Avengers fan who sadly is losing the race against time. A thread titled “Dying Before April: My Endgame” caught the attention of thousands on Reddit. The Redditor who goes by the handle, alexander_q described himself as ‘just a normal 33-year-old guy’ but is suffering “liver cancer, mouth cancer, bone marrow failure” and “will probably be dead before April.” His threads struck a chord with other Redditors and fellow Marvel fans who are requesting the studio for an early screening! Avengers EndGame: Don't Expect Trailers To Show More Than First 15 Minutes of the Movie, Warns MCU Chief Kevin Feige.

His first message informing about his condition and wish on Reddit reads, “Liver cancer, mouth cancer, bone marrow failure. Will probably be dead before April. I've heard of people getting early screenings before. How do I get in on this action? I'm not a child or anyone with a particularly tragic story. Just a normal guy. I'm 33, lost my sister three years ago to the same rare genetic disease it turns out I have too. I'll leave behind a devoted girlfriend and an adopted greyhound. I thought I'd make it to April at least but my bone marrow is toast. Any suggestions?”

Now, Marvel and Disney are not new to receiving requests for early screenings for fans with a terminal illness who may or not may be around to watch the film. And now they have this new request from a die-hard fan who has less than three months to live. The internet is also rallying behind to get the man’s wish of watching Avengers: Endgame fulfilled. There's a hashtag, "Avengers4Alexander" trending on Twitter.

So far there is no official word from Marvel or Disney whether there will be a special screening for Alexander, but that’s not stopping the guy from expressing gratitude towards fellow netizens for the love and support. In fact, Alexander informed how a man from Australia has promised to get him in touch with Chris Hemsworth, the actor who plays Thor in the Marvel films. Alexander also added, “Lastly, I don't mean to be greedy but since I'm triple dying can we throw Captain Marvel into the mix?” Well, let us wait and watch if Alexander gets to watch Avengers: Endgame ahead of scheduled release date.
