While it was an apparent breach of rules, the clip came to light on a day when train services have been severely affected in Mumbai, cutting apart various parts of the city.
News channels have confirmed that the video was shot at Mumbai's Shahad station, which is located next to Kalyan on the Central local railway line. Notably, the Central line of Mumbai locals has been worst affected due to the incessent rainfall over the last 24 hours. In Badlapur, which lies few stops away from Shahad, the Kolhapur-bound Mahalaxmi Express was left stranded amid deluge in Chimtoli.
The rescue operation, which was initiated in the wee hours of Saturday, was completed in the afternoon with all 700 passengers being successfully rescued.
