Most of would have never been able to solve the Rubik's cube even after trying for days, but Australian man Feliks Zemdegs has created a Rubik's Cube World Record by solving it in 4.22 seconds. While it takes 10 minutes to complete a standard 3x3, Zembegs worked it out in no time. The speedsolver created the record at 'Cube For Cambodia 2018', a Rubik's cube competition, held May 6 in Melbourne. This is not the first time the 22-year-old created a record, he has won Rubik Cube's title multiple times in the past.

Zemdegs currently holds the record for the fastest growing time posted in five attempts. His last close record was at the Malaysia Cube Open 2017 where he solved the cube in 5.80 seconds. Previous to which he made a record by solving the cube at 6.88 seconds in Canberra Autumn 2015 and 37.93 seconds at Canberra Autumn 2018. He also participated solved the puzzle at Melbourne Cube Days 2017 where he solved the cube in 43.21 seconds.

The multiple record holder bought his first Rubik's Cube in 2008 when he was 12 after being inspired by watching 'speedcubing' videos on the YouTube. Zemdegs has a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Melbourne, with a major in Economics, with a breadth study track in Mechanical Engineering.

Zembegs has a website cubeskills.com where he gives tutorials on solving Rubik's cube and other puzzles. The site offers premium members that lets users access speed solving videos. Members can also submit their own solving videos which Zemdegs will give opinion on.
