Mumbai, June 17: Union Law Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad on Sunday lauded Anushka Sharma for her latest move of spreading awareness about Swachh Bharat mission. Prasad's statement comes a day after the actress pulled up a man in a luxury car for throwing garbage on the street. Taking to Twitter, Prasad replied to Anushka’s husband Virat Kohli’s tweet, saying, “Really appreciate the commitment of @AnushkaSharma for # SwachhBharat. Keep it up!”
In a video that went viral on Saturday, Anushka is seen teaching a man a basic lesson on cleanliness. The actress is seen rightly pointing out a man for throwing garbage on the road. A close look at the video shows Anushka asking the man “Why are you throwing garbage on the road?”. The man, sitting in the back of the car, looked surprisingly shocked and was heard simply repeating the question. “Yes, why are you throwing plastic on the road?” Anushka asked again. Anushka then tells him to be more careful and not do this again.
Really appreciate the commitment of @AnushkaSharma for #SwachhBharat.
Keep it up! https://t.co/m11dMlY6WK

Soon after the incident took place, husband Virat Kohli posted a video on social networking sites. Virat shared the video saying, “Saw these people throwing garbage on the road & pulled them up rightfully. Travelling in a luxury car and brains gone for a toss. These people will keep our country clean? Yeah right! If you see something wrong happening like this, do the same & spread awareness. @AnushkaSharma”. In no time, the video garnered a lot of attention and comments supporting Anushka’s move started pouring in.
The man in the luxury car, identified as Arhhan Singh on Saturday night took a dig at the actress on his Facebook post. “Horrible! So I happened to carelessly Litter a sq mm of plastic while driving! A car passing by rolls their window down and there we have our wonderful AnushkaSharma ranting and yelling like a crazy roadside person! (sic).” “While I’m apologetic for my carelessness, Mrs AnushkaSharma Kohli a little etiquette and politeness in ur dialogue wouldn’t have made u a lesser star !! There are all kinds of manners and hygiene .. verbal etiquette is one of them ! (sic),” he said.
