The topical ad shows Amul's mascot girl holding a broom in one hand while tossing a plastic bottle with the other, gesturing at recycling it. The caption on the ad reads 'Plast tikna nahin chahiye' (Plastic should not exist). Swachh Bharat Diwas is observed on October 2 every year as a part of the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan. It is the Union government's sanitation programme aiming at open defecation free (ODF) deadline of October 2019. Other than which it is a nation-wide campaign for the period 2014 to 2019 to clean roads, the infrastructure in India's both urban and rural areas.
