Millionaire Richard Guttfield has accused a delivery driver of stealing his dog. The 51-year-old said that a man delivering Amazon parcels stole his miniature schnauzer. Guttfield realised his 11-month-old miniature schnauzer was missing only after the driver left. The man had come to deliver dog food he had ordered online.

Guttfield then went on a search hunt to find his Wilma that went missing from his home in the village of Marsworth, near Aylesbury in Buckinghamshire last Friday. He took to social media about the incident and also posted on the website www.doglost.co.uk, which helps the owner find lost pets.

He made multiple calls to Amazon and told The Sun that they took him seriously only after his sister sent an email to the company's CEO Jeff Bezos. He then received a call from a Rob Levy, of Amazon logistics in Hemel Hempstead, Herts. After several conversations, he said he would check the GPS tracking software. He then asked Guttfield to describe his dog to which Rob said that his pet was right in front of him.

Here is his first Facebook post:

Here is what he posted after finding his pet:

However, Rob refused to say how he found it, saying the matter was under investigation. Guttfield later thanked all the locals who helped in the search for Wilma. He posted on Facebook, "Wilma is safe and home now thanks to an amazing effort form a lot of kind-hearted people."

He is now raising awareness and helping owners who are in a similar situation.  The dog lover has sent out a warning to all pet owners to be alert about their pets when strangers are around. Amazon described the incident as 'inexcusable' and said the driver, who worked for an independent delivery firm, is no longer working with Amazon packages. The pup can cost more than a lakh.
