Oscar Lundahl works as a guide with Nordic Sea Angling. He went fishing to find for a blue halibut off the coast of the island of Andoya in Norway. While looking for his target, he almost jumped out of his boat to make that rare catch. He told The Sun, "We were looking for blue halibut which is a rare species about 5 miles offshore. I had four hooks on one line and felt something quite big on the end of it. It took me about 30 minutes to reel it in because it was over 2,600 feet deep." Pictures of the strange-looking creature have also been shared online and people are amused too.

He also mentioned that since the fish was already dead, he went home and cooked it. "Despite its ugly appearance, it was really tasty. It is a bit like cod but tastier," he said. This specimen is actually a ratfish, a relative of the shark species dating almost 300 million years ago. These fishes live in very deep waters and are rarely caught, but Lundahl made an exception. It is said that the fish has evolved the big eyes because of the ability to make them see in dark underwaters.

The creepy creature had even scared the internet. So there are several species in the deep underwaters which have not even made it to the knowledge of researchers and scientists.
