Whenever there is a big wedding the inside details are always awaited. From the bride and groom’s outfits, wedding venues to the guest list, everything attracts the interest of the masses. If there is one wedding that everyone is currently wanting to know about is Mukesh Ambani’s son Akash Ambani. There has been a speculation about the Reliance Jio board member marrying his longtime friend Shloka Mehta, daughter of diamantaire Russell Mehta.

Although both the families haven’t given any confirmations on the same, close sources have revealed that the engagement would be probably in the next few weeks and it could be a December wedding. In early December 2017, thanks to the reach of social media a video had been going viral, about an elaborate wedding card of Akash Ambani. The video showed the card being made of pure gold costing about Rs 1.5 lakh. The video showed a box being unwrapped from a velvet and silk cloth and it had beautifully carved out design. There were almonds and cashews kept, under which was the invite to the ceremonies. Given the cost, it quickly became viral and of course, the affluence of the family was talked about. But turned out it was a big hoax!

The Ambanis then issued a statement calling out to the fake video. “A fake video illustrating an alleged wedding card of Mr Akash Ambani – Board Member, Reliance Jio, is being currently circulated on various social media and instant message platforms. We would like to clarify that this video is completely untrue and contains hoax content designed purely for sensationalism. We respect your credibility and would request you to refrain from using such unverified content on your platform,” it said. The video was fake but now once again with the wedding discussions coming into fore, people are curious to know about the details. Reacting to the recent news a source close to the family said, "No dates of either the wedding or engagement of Akash Ambani have been finalised. As and when any good news is to be shared, the family will be delighted to share with everyone.” Let us wait till we get the official details from the family itself.
