Starbucks is once again headlined internationally after one of its UK outlets scrawled “Hippo” in a customer’s Cookies and Frappuccino cup. The incident came into the light after the coffee chain in Philadelphia allegedly printed “ISIS” on a mug. Identified as Nadia Khan from West London, the 25-year-old reportedly visited the store in Feltham. Nadia was disgusted over Starbucks’ behaviour. According to The Metro, it was her mother Andria who first screamed in anger and confronted the staff member after seeing what was written on the cup. She was quoted in the report as saying, “Mum told him he should treat customers with respect, no matter how skinny, fat or whatever.” Nadia complained the slur was “grotesquely unprofessional.” The report further confirmed that Nadia received an apology from the company. On the other hand, one of the spokespeople reported that they are currently working with the store team carefully to ensure that such an incident never happens again.

The coffee chain company, was recently disgusted after a cashier at one of its outlet in Philadelphia, printed “ISIS” on the coffee glass of three Muslim customers. The men often visit the store in their neighbourhood. When they walked out of the outlet sipping their cold brews, they noticed “ISIS” printed on their cups.
