Adam Catzavelos, a businessman holidaying in Greece went viral on social media, following his blatant racism rant on Twitter. The man filmed himself boasting about being on a beach in Greece and not a single black person in sight. He used a derogatory word, the K-word to term the black people and since then people on social media were enraged. South Africans called him out and demanded strict action against him.
What followed was finding his identity and where all he was involved. With the reach of social media, Twitterati helped to find him. Adam was linked to Nedbank‚ while others also said he is the husband of Kelly Catzavelos‚ a merchandising director at Nike. But all the companies have denied any relationship with him. Soon after this video, he became a trend on social media and people were sure about finding him. After his associations with big companies were revealed, Nedbank and Nike both clarified that Adam Catzavelos is not an employee of theirs and it not even related to them. People were shocked out with the racist video and also asked others to boycott the companies with which he was involved in.

Nike's statement clears that he was not their employee. "Nike opposes discrimination and has a long-standing commitment to diversity‚ inclusion and respect. We believe in the power of human potential in everyone – of every race‚ religion‚ nationality‚ gender and sexual orientation. We can also confirm that Adam Catzavelos is not a Nike employee," read the statement.
Nedbank and 702 strongly condemn all forms of racism. Adam Catzavelos is not a Nedbank employee. He took part in a Business Accelerator Programme in 2014. He, along with 360 other entrepreneurs, was profiled on the programme hosted on 702 and sponsored by Nedbank over 6-years.

Catzavelos has also been fired from the family business of St George's Fine Foods, who in fact, were dealing with his father Mr George. Angry people on Twitter condemned all the companies that included his business ties. Following the major outrage against him, all have denied any ties with the racist man.
