You must have only known of mayonnaise as a condiment used  for dipping or dressing. Mayo is a common favourite of many who absolutely love adding a bit of the tart-and-creamy sauce to their sandwiches, wraps and salads. A lot of them also enjoy it as an accompaniment to fries, nuggets, dimsums, bread and other snacks. But can you imagine mayo also being a dessert? Ice Falkirk launched the first mayonnaise-flavoured ice cream. Yes, you read it right, there’s an ice cream that tastes like mayo, and the internet is super confused over it.

Not suprisingly, mayo ice cream is the latest food to go viral. The company announced the new flavour with an Instagram post captioned “Who knows a mayo addict?” According to an interview with Today, Kyle Gentleman, the owner of the shop, describing the latest ice cream flavour said that it is a “full-on hit of fat and cream followed with an eggy milky aftertaste.”

The netizens have mixed reactions to the new flavour. While some of them think it is good, others are finding it weird.

It is interesting to note that the company isn't making a unique ice cream flavour for the first time. On their menu they also have flavours like the mysterious 'trick or treat' and cider.

Also this isn't the first time there is a strange ice cream flavour in the market. Cereal milk, curry and mint, trail mix, brown butter bacon, olive oil gelato and pizza are some other strange ice cream flavours from across the world.
