Tetsuya, a retired chemistry teacher, is the latest senior to step into the spotlight. His amazing dressing sense and a poser that he is, the senior citizen is the rising social media star. The credit of his fashion sense, goes to his grandson, a Japanese TV writer, Naoya Kudo, who returned his hometown of Akita Prefecture in Japan, last month for “Golden Week.” It is a special time in the country’s calendar and it contains a number of national holidays. It during this visit when Kudo met his hardworking grandfather, Tetsuya, who lives in the rural region and still farms the land well. The former chemistry teachers are not acquainted with designer brands and current fashion trends, so for fun, Kudo decided to dress him up. And the result is a tremendously super cool grandfather, whose Instagram account now reached to more than 100K followers.

“He was surprisingly enthusiastic about it,” Kudo told Buzzfeed World. “He gave a lot of suggestions about where to shoot and other things,” he added. Among all the locations were local beaches, fields and the middle school where Tetsuya once worked. The positive responses were not only limited to his relatives. In fact, Tetsuya's account crossed over 67K followers on Instagram. Not just his clothing, Kudo credits the way his grandpa makes each outfit, entirely his own. And we so agree with him!
