The dog is a man's best friend and there have been several cases where a dog has saved its owner from danger. But a 75-year-old did not think twice before taking over an alligator to save his beloved retriever pooch. A 75-year-old man from Florida named Buddy Ackerman fought off a 7-foot alligator near his house to save his daughter's pet Osi. While his dog was doing his business near the pond, an alligator came out and grabbed its backside. But Ackerman kicked the alligator off to save his squealing pet. No Death Doing Apart! The alligator was about 7 foot, 7 inches and attacked the rear of golden retriever Osi. "He was squealing a good bit when the thing grabbed him. I go up and slip and fall on my rear end, and the two of us are tugging. Alligator is going one way, I’m going the other," Ackerman told ABC NewsHe mentioned that Osi is his daughter Judy's pet and he was dog sitting for her while she was on a vacation. Later, the trappers were called in to take away the alligator from the pond. Meanwhile, Ackerman was grateful that Osi isn't a small pooch otherwise he could not have been saved. He mentions that he even fell at a point as he tugged on to Osi. But he managed to kick the gator twice to get it rid off their pet. Osi was later taken to the warning sign of the alligators to make sure he understands! Well, we are just grateful that Osi has been saved and nor is the man injured.
