IAS toppers of 2015, Tina Dabi and Aamir-ul-Shafi Khan, who ranked first and second respectively, got married on April 7, 2018 in the Kashmir Valley. The wedding took place in the country's most picturesque location Pahalgam. The love story between the two, started brewing since 2015, when they met at the IAS felicitation ceremony that took place at the DoPT office in Delhi.
Dabi is from Delhi and Khan belongs to Jammu and Kashmir. Dhabi was also the first Dalit to have topped the UPSC exam and faced immense criticism because of her caste. Reportedly, Dabi is now a Rajasthan-cadre officer and is now posted in Ajmer,

Dabi was always very open about her relationship with Khan, and as a result of which, she received a lot of backlash. Reportedly, in 2016, Akhil Bharatiya Hindu Mahasabha members have wrote a letter to 2015 UPSC topper Tina Dabi's parents after she announced her plans of getting married to Aamir-ul-Shafi Khan. Mahasabha asked the IAS officer's parents to cancel the wedding or at least convince Khan to get converted. There was huge noise on social media at that point of time, but Tina made it clear that both will follow their respective religion and no one is going to convert. More power to them, for not coming under the societal pressure and changing their decision. We wish the couple a happy married life.
