Hindus consider Ekadashi to be a very auspicious day throughout the year. Out of 24 Ekadashis in a year, Ekadashi of Shukla Paksha which falls in Malayalam month of Vrischikam (November/December) is celebrated as Guruvayur Ekadashi. This year Guruvayur Ekadashi will be celebrated on December 14.
