Seshan had won the Ramon Magsaysay Award in 1996. He was born on December 15, 1932, in Palakkad district of Kerala. From PM Narendra Modi, Shivraj Singh Chouhan, Shashi Tharoor, Sunil Deodhar and others paid homage to Seshan.
