Actor Gagan Dev Riar will be playing the role of convicted Indian counterfeiter Abdul Karim Telgi in the upcoming series 2003: The Telgi Story. He was advised by the series creative director Hansal Mehta to not read the book on which the story and character is based, so that he can form his own interpretation of the character.
