Sharda Sinha, known as the 'Bihar Kokila', passed away on November 5 due to complications from septicaemia. The Bihar government has announced that she will be accorded a state funeral. Sharda Sinha was a Padma Bhushan awardee and was widely admired for her contributions to Indian folk music.
