The two most iconic architectural designs of Dubai -- the Burj Khalifa and the Dubai Frame -- have been lit up in tricolour ahead of PM Modi's visit to the UAE.
Burj Khalifa, owned by the state-owned oil company Abu Dhabi National Oil Company, is the tallest structure in the world.
Dubai Frame, the "largest infrastructural picture frame in the world", was themed with the Indian flag on Friday.
This is Prime Minister Modi's second official visit to the UAE. During his previous visit, the Abu Dhabi Crown Prince made public the decision to built a grand temple for the Indian diaspora.
PM Modi was scheduled to reach the UAE on Saturday evening, after concluding his first official visit to Palestine.
