Montevideo, October 16: Sherika De Armas, Former Miss World Contestant who represented her country Uruguay at the Miss World competition, passed away recently due to cancer. As per local media reports, Sherika De Armas passed away at 26 due to cervical cancer. The former Mis World contestant represented Uruguay in the Miss World competition 2015. Reports also said that Sherika De Armas breathed her last on Friday, October 13.

The former Miss World contestant was 26 when she passed away. It is reported that Sherika De Armas passed away due to cervical cancer. She had undergone multiple chemotherapy and radiotherapy treatments in the past in her fight against cancer. Her untimely death has sent shockwaves not only in Uruguay but across the globe. Taking to Instagram, Carla Romero, the current Miss Uruguay, said, "Too evolved for this world. One of the most beautiful women I have ever met in my life, on the outside it is obvious but on the inside you can't imagine it." Who Was Sherika De Armas?

Sherika De Armas is a former Miss World Contestant who represented Uruguay in the 2015 Miss World competition. While Armas represented her country at the global competition, she could not make it to the top 30 of the 2015 competition held in China. Besides being a model, Sherika De Armas was also an entrepreneur as she went on to launch her own make-up line. She even sold products related to hair and personal care through Shey de Armas Studio. During her fight with cancer, the former Miss World Contestant spent time with children suffering from cancer through the Perez Scremini Foundation.
