People have a certain love for the beach. The calm blue water waves or just staring at the horizon, beaches offer such a relief. People especially plan out beach getaways, and in the summer season, it sounds a perfect idea. The planet has a lot of beautiful beaches spread all over but the formation of some beaches naturally is a lot more impressive over the other sandy ones.

There are some beaches in the world which have formed naturally and the phenomenon is rather strange. You probably wouldn't have expected such kind of formation.

Parrotfish poop beach in Hawaii

Beach lovers love taking long strolls on the sands, make sand castles, play with the sand or just lie down and enjoy. But what if you come to know the sand that you are walking on or playing with is actually poop of a fish! In fact, one beach in Hawaii is formed fully due to the sand from the poop residue of the fish. The Parrotfish that live in the reefs feed on the corals. They however, cannot digest the calcium carbonate their hard beaks break off to get at them. This carbonate gets crushed and passes through the digestive tracks, which is then excreted into the sand. These fishes excrete so much sand, that it has resulted in the formation of the entire beach!

Shell beach, Australia

The seashells that you find on the beach coast are very intrguing. The colours, the shapes and the variety in size is what makes some of them running to collect shells. A lover of seashells will go crazy at one of the beaches in Australia which is formed totally by the shells! Known as the shell beach it is a 70-kilometer stretch covered in a layer of cockle shells up to 10 meters. These cockle shells have built upon the surface. Eventually, they will turn into sand but until then the beach is fully covered with shells. The beach has been declared a World Heritage Site and protected for tourism.

Recycled Coloured Glass beach in Japan

There are a few glass beaches in the world but this one's a rare. The unnamed beach in Japan's Omura City is made of recycled coloured glass! This beach is actually a hidden gem in the Nagasaki area and has no fine sand but rounded pebbles of multicoloured glass. The beach has a lot of rocks that get covered in algae during the summers. To avoid the smell of these algae, the Japanese came up with an option of covering it with pulverized recycled glass. As these pieces glisten in the sun, it looks beautiful and is catching the eye of the tourists.

Hot water beach, New Zealand

Dipping feet in the waves or just enjoying splashing water on each other is a thing enjoyed by people of all age-groups. But in New Zealand's Coromandel people enjoy spas on the coast! The reason being the water from the beach is hot and springs from the sand when there is a low tide. So people actually dig in pools of their size and sit in them, enjoying a good natural hot spa. The hot water fills in these pools and this it gets the name. This is one beach where you won't head for a respite from the heat, for sure.

These beach formations are quite strange but definitely add to the beauty of the planet. All of these beaches are spectacular and tourist destinations. These beaches are a proof of amazing ways of nature. Have you visited any of those?
