Udyanotsav 2019 Dates & Tickets: Rashtrapati Bhavan's Mughal Gardens to Open for Visitors; Book Online at rb.nic.in

There are seven different gardens at the Rashtrapati Bhavan of which the Mughal Gardens will be opened for visitors for a month.

Following Republic Day celebrations in Delhi, the Rashtrapati Bhawan's Mughal Gardens will soon be opened for the public. President Ram Nath Kovind tweeted saying that the "the Mughal Gardens will open for the public to visit from February 6, 2019, to March 10, 2019" as a part of Udyanotsav 2019. It is a month-long annual festival which is inaugurated by the President. You can book your tickets to see the mesmerising carpet of flowers on rb.nic.in.

Influenced by Persian architecture, the Charbagh structure that hosts stunning newly bloomed flowers, pools, canals and fountains. The beautiful gardens including the popular Mughal Gardens have 159 varieties of rose, over 100 types of bougainvillaea and hundreds of other flowers. There are seven different gardens at the Rashtrapati Bhavan of which the Mughal Gardens will be opened for visitors for a month. Kovind tweeted saying: 'This time, you can book your time slot online on… and benefit from a dedicated entry lane at Gate 35 of President's Estate.' Last year, Kovind planted a Baobab sapling, also known as a wish-fulfilling tree in the gardens. The Mughal Gardens spread over 15 acres of land is inspired by the ones in Taj Mahal and in Jammu and Kashmir. Sir Edward Lutyens who designed the Rashtrapati Bhavan also designed the Mughal Gardens bringing together Mughal and English architecture. The Gardens will be opened for special categories, farmers, differently abled persons, Paramilitary and Delhi Police on March 11, 2019.
