Lohagad Trek: Lohagad is a fort situated near Lonavala. It is well-preserved and one of the very famous spots around the cities of Mumbai and Pune. The vehicle goes near the base camp of the fort which makes it easier to reach. The views are stunning and with the arrival of monsoon, the weather is also pleasant. One of the interesting features to watch here is the Vinchu Kata and the Bhaja Caves. It is easily accessible from Mumbai and Pune.

Matheran Trek: Matheran is a hill station near Mumbai and boasts of many view points which are no less than treks. So if you are not keen for a trek, you can also trail along the lush green surroundings. The neares railway station to get to the spot is Neral.
