Mumbai, Aug 18: In-flight entertainment system was limited to full-service carriers and did not exactly suit the budgeted travellers. Not anymore, since starting today, SpiceJet will provide entertainment services on their domestic and international flights. It has become the first local low-cost carrier to have launched the complimentary in-flight entertainment (IFE). Service carriers, Air India and Jet Airways had been providing the service with LCD screens at the back of seats. SpiceJet flyers can experience on their phone and tablets.
"The launch of our new in-flight entertainment system, SpicEngage, will vastly improve the on board experience of our flyers. Passengers can now use their own phones and tablets on board SpiceJet to watch their favourite shows, play games, read and do much more," said Ajay Singh, chairman and managing director, SpiceJet. The SpicEngage will have five categories- watch, play, explore, read and eat options. So users can choose to watch their favourite web series, cartoons, play games or read books.
The user will have to put their phones on Airplane mode. After turning on the WiFi, connect to the SpicEngage and the browser will be connected. The user will fill a registration form and enjoy streaming different shows or movies. With this service, your budgeted flights are also going to be entertaining. (With PTI Inputs)
