Victoria Memorial, Kolkata

The Victoria Memorial is a massive marble structure that is considered Kolkata's pride. It was built between 1906 and 1921 in commemoration of Queen Victoria. It is now a museum and a major tourist attraction run by the Ministry of Culture.

The name Cellular Jail, also known as Kala Pani, was a colonial prison in India's Andaman and Nicobar Islands. The British utilised the prison primarily to exile political prisoners to the isolated archipelago. During the Indian independence fight, many important dissidents such as Batukeshwar Dutt and Veer Savarkar were convicted and imprisoned here. The structure now functions as a national memorial monument.

Mehrangarh Fort, Jodhpur

Mehrangarh Fort, located in Jodhpur, is one of the country's largest forts. It is situated at the top of a 410-foot-high hill and is surrounded by massive walls. The fort now houses a museum that displays various royal possessions. Rao Jodha erected the palace in 1459.
