Mumbai, October 10: The inauguration of the Mumbai to Goa cruise, Angriya, has been postponed due to bad weather conditions. The cruise service that was scheduled to begin from tomorrow, October 11, will now be inaugurated on October 20 and will set sail from October 24. According to reports, Union Minister for Road Transport, Highways and Shipping Nitin Gadkari will inaugurate the cruise on October 20 at the Purple Gate of Princess Docks in Mumbai. The services, for which bookings have begun, have been delayed as thunderstorms have been predicted by the Indian Meteorological Department in the next two-three days. Mumbai to Goa 'Angriya' Cruise: Know Time, Bookings and Ticket Rates of the Luxurious Service.

The trial of Angriya was undertaken in May this year. The ship has been facing delay for a year now. The bookings for the months of October and November have begun for the cruise that can carry 400 passengers at once. It will run on alternate days starting October 24. The ship has been named Angriya after Admiral Kanhoji Angre, who was the first admiral of Maratha navy. The cruise is owned by Angriya Sea Eagle Private Limited, a subsidiary for Sea Eagle Cruises.

Ticket rates and bookings of Angriya

The ticket fares for the Mumbai-Goa cruise start from Rs 7,000 and go up to Rs 11,000 per person. A dorm room will cost Rs 7,000 and a family suite will be Rs 11,000 per person. Two meals and snacks will be included in the fare. The bookings can be done on the website of Sea Eagle Cruises.

The cruise trip will be a non-stop 16-hour journey starting from Indira docks in Mumbai. The journey will start at 5 pm from Mumbai and the cruise is supposed to reach Goa's Mormugao port at 9 am.

Angriya has reportedly been built in Japan and has many of Japanese elements. There are 104 cabins in different categories- from dormitory rooms to family suites. There are multiple restaurants on board, coffee shops, a discotheque, infinity pool, spa and about 6 bars. There is a lounge area and conference hall too.
