Mumbai, September 23: Epic, India’s first segmented channel on History and Mythology, is set to broadcast two episodes on Geological Wonders in Madhya Pradesh. Referred to as the "heartland of India," Madhya Pradesh is a treasure trove of natural beauty and historical wonders. The two episode special broadcast, Madhya Pradesh-Geological Wonders, will be Telecast on September 23 and September 30 at 7 PM on Epic and Epic ON.

There will be a repeat telecast of the episodes on September 27 and October 4 at 7 PM.

This special broadcast on Geological wonders of Madhya Pradesh will focus on some of the most picturesque destinations of the state. Bhimbetka Rock Shelters

Bhimbetka Rock Shelters is essentially a series of approximately 700 natural rock shelters. These caves bear paintings depicting various aspects of human life. It is estimated that some of these paintings are as old as 30,000 years. The caves are believed to have their origin in Paleolithic and Mesolithic periods.

Orchha

Founded in 1501 by Bundela Rajput Chief, Orchha is a historical town located on the banks of river Betwa in Madhya Pradesh, known for its grand palaces, and intricately carved temples. Famously known as the city of palaces, it is world-renowned for the classic mural paintings, frescos and Chhatris (cenotaphs) that were constructed to commemorate the Bundela rulers. Orchha's old-world charm casts a spell on tourists from all around the world.

Raneh Waterfalls

The Raneh Waterfalls is a natural water fall on the Ken River, located in Chhatarpur district. The Ken River forms a 5 kilometres long, and 30 metres deep canyon made of pure crystalline granite in varying shades of colours ranging from pink and red to grey. There is a series of waterfalls in the canyon. The larger and smaller falls run all through the year. Other seasonal falls appear during monsoons.

The special broadcast on Epic will also focus on some other picturesque destinations of Madhya Pradesh like Dhala Crater and unearth the secrets of fossilized dinosaur eggs.
