If you are lucky, the worst problem you could face at a hotel would be not enough pillows or weak water pressure in the shower. However, it does not work that way for every traveller. Much like this customer, who faced an extreme situation at a Hotel in Thailand. Her stay, as she described, was nothing less than a nightmare and it became worse, after she complained about the same at TripAdvisor. Through the viral post uploaded on Facebook, the traveller from Singapore complained about blood-stained bedsheets at the hotel room. It did not take much time for the Thai Hotel to respond. They accused her of lying and blacklisted her in return. Indian Restaurant Shimla Cottage Owner’s Savage Response to TripAdvisor User’s Review on £3.50 Three-Course Meal Goes Viral.
Finding a great hotel is not easy, and that is when ratings and customer reviews on TripAdvisor and other similar websites help. Hoping that it would be beneficial for others and so that no one else becomes another victim of the Hotel’s ill behaviour, Sim Lizhen decided to post her experience. She booked a room in Le Tada Parkview and Residence in Bangkok through Agoda. Much to her surprise, she saw period-stain in the bedsheet and blankets as well. Lizhen immediately called for housekeeping. In her review, the traveller from Singapore stated the housekeeper’s poor behaviour, the moment she asked her to change the bedsheet.
Here's the Post:
The next day, Lizhen received an email from the Hotel, who in return accused her of lying and causing ‘defamation’ of the Hotel. They further added her to the Hotel’s blacklist.
Her post saw immense support online as it went viral on Facebook. A few people also highlighted their stay in the same place in Singapore and noted similar incidents. We are unsure if any action on the Hotel has yet been taken followed by the poor review. Further reports on the same are awaited.
