Celebrating 2019 New Years Eve in Rajasthan's Luxurious Properties Could Cost Rs 11 Lakh or More!

It is almost time for New Year's Eve 2019 and people have already started making their elaborate plans. Everything is overpriced and some prices just skyrocket for the occasion.  The luxurious properties, needless to say, have their rates going higher at the time of any celebration. A night's stay at Umaid Bhawan Palace in Jodhpur or the Taj Palace in Udaipur will cost around Rs 11 lakh! And the bookings are already full. The hotels in Rajasthan are already full as the rich and wealthy want to ensure their ring in their new year in palatial properties. The prices are hitting high and 2019 is coming in with all royalty for those who can afford it. The rates for the exclusive suites are anyway higher than the normal room but on such occasions when there will be people coming, they only go higher. According to a source quoted by TOI, "This year, the tariffs have risen by up to 40% for December 31 (compared to November)". And overall there is a 7% rise in the tariff rates for the New Year as compared to 2017. Which Country is The First to Enter New Year? At other times the rates could be negotiable but it is extremely difficult that the rates will come down during the New Years' unless the occupancy is less. In Rambagh Palace, the average rates for a suite is between Rs 25,000 and Rs 70,000. Most hotels in Rajasthan are already fully occupied. "We will be hitting 100% occupancy on December 31. We work months in advance for the day and are happy to see people shake off all thoughts of economic slowdown and decide to celebrate in the way they desire," said Varun Mehrotra, director of sales and marketing, Fairmont Jaipur in the same news report.

The hotels which have some rooms left, also increase the tariff rates to cash on the opportunity. Although Rajasthan boasts of such luxurious properties, the rates in other states are comparatively lower. A lot of people hit the beach and prefer resort locations to spend their New year.
